Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency in that County. The Towns of Windsor and Smithfield also have Police Departments. The Virginia State Police Troopers concentrate on traffic enforcement on or near U.S. Highways 460 and Virginia routes 10 and 258.
Isle of Wight Circuit Court (5th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia) is located on Route 17122 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight, VA 23397. Three judges hear cases there. (Honorable C.E. Eason, Jr., Honorable R.H. Sandwich, Jr., and Honorable L.W. Farmer). Judge Eason and Savage also hear cases in the City of Suffolk and County of Southampton. These three localities make up the 5th Judicial Circuit.
Almost all Circuit Court Matters are heard on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. Occasionally, jury trials are set on Tuesday or Thursday.

County General District Court (5
th Judicial District) is located at 17000 Josiah Parker Circle, Isle Of Wight, VA 23397. Judge W.P. Councill usually presides in this Court, which hears cases on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Attorneys may set initial trial or preliminary hearing dates without their client needing to appear.
Bond hearings are set by agreement with the Court and Commonwealth Attorney, but are only held when Court is scheduled.
Isle of Wight Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court is located at 17000 Josiah Parker Circle, 1st floor. Two Judges hear cases there. (Honorable A. Talton-Harris and Honorable R.S. Brewbaker, Jr.). Both Judges also hear cases in the City of Franklin, City of Suffolk, and County of Southampton.
Court is held on Mondays and Tuesdays.
