General District Court is held on Mondays - Judge W. P. Councill usually presides in General District Court
Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court is held on Wednesdays - Judge A. Talton-Harris and R.S. Brewbaker, Jr. preside in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
The City of Franklin does not have a Circuit Court. All Circuit Court matters take place at Southampton County Circuit Court, 22350 Main Street, Courtland Virginia. The Commonwealth's Attorney for Southampton County also prosecutes cases in the City of Franklin
